Youth Peer Advocate / Family Peer Advocate
Credential Training Program

Niagara Pride has been selected to serve as a recruitment organization for the Mental Health Association of Erie County's two credentialing training programs...the Youth Peer Advocate and the Family Peer Advocate.

Individuals interested in obtaining these credentials can initiate the process by completing the Credential Seeker Survey (click here or scan the QR code in the two graphics on this page.
 
Your survey will be forwarded to the MHA.  Once we have received your contact information, we can schedule a face to face meeting, virtual call, or phone call to go over more information about either program.

Individuals completing the process will receive stipends along the way.
 
  • $250 Stipend - Need to complete the Level 1 training and provide a certificate of completion
  • $500 Stipend - Issued after participant receives their Provisional Credential Certificate ​
  • $1500 Stipend - Once individual provides proof of employment as either a Youth Peer Advocate or Family Peer Advocate.

Safety is very important to us! Our office does not accept walk-ins. This ensures that we are able to provide a safe space for our board members, volunteers, and program participants. Appointments can be set with our Programming Chair or our President.
